A year gone by, Opa Ernst is always remembered, and he will always be missed.

A special Easter indeed! This 13th, this Monday, Itten's 100th birthday, the first birthday in Heaven, celebrating with the Lord, he believed, he loved, he followed, he served, and with his beloved wife, other family members, good friends. Together, we remember, and in loving memory of this special humble Servant of God, who had a Chinese heart and soul.

Reverend Ernest Itten was a loving Pastors, he had a loving wife Rosemary. She was very capable with her housework. He and his wife visited the churches in China very often and the people loved them very much. In his house you will be surprised to see every named stone they found wherever they visited a church in China. They spent their missionary work in both China and Hong Kong for many many years. They have two sons and four daughters. Theodore, Benjamin, two twins, Ursula and Anarose. his beloved wife was born in China a missionary’s daughter. They spoke Hakka very fluently and Rev. Ernest Itten thought he himself was a 100% Chinese with a Chinese heart. We are so grateful for their life, their dedication and love for the Chinese Christians. Rev. Ernest Itten was a very clever tour guide. He knew all the places and roundabout in his beautiful country Switzerland by the train routes. In his lifetime, he loved very much to ride the trains everywhere because it reminded him of his beloved father who drove the train when he was in his youth. And Rev. Ernest Itten watched him drive the train in the train station every single day.

Rev. Ernest Itten loved the Bible verse James 5:15, “If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this,or that.” He believed in God and His guidance. We love Rev. Ernest Itten very much. he gave all his life for the Chinese people. He was a humble and faithful servant of God. We felt deeply indebted to Rev. And Mrs. Ernest Itten for their love for the Chinese Christians. May the Lord reward their good work, bless them and their beloved children and decendants. Most important of all, they continue to keep their steadfast faith in God as their parents. God Bless You all!
